Strata Series by CTRLZAK Studio for Urbi et Orbi's Medius Terra Collection 2024

The Strata series is designed by CTRLZAK studio for the Medius Terra collection by Urbi et Orbi, set to release in 2024.

Inspired by natural geological formations (stratification), diverse landscapes, and geological phenomena of the Mediterranean region, the overlapping layers of mineral compositions represent the geological history of the Mediterranean and our planet. Subsidence, erosion, and volcanic activity create layers of various materials on the surface, symbolizing the passage of time. The Strata series, from another perspective, encourages reflection on our perception of time through geology and the natural world.

Strata concrete tables are designed for both indoor and outdoor use, featuring a unique finish achievable only with concrete as the base material. Each piece is unique and different, preserving the design concept. It was a manufacturing challenge for us, and we loved it from the moment it was just an idea. We developed special production techniques to achieve such a natural appearance.

Due to the nature of concrete, each table gains its own character. Ideal for both professional and residential spaces, the Strata table is available in various sizes, making it suitable as either a coffee table or a dining table.
